Day 01 Fri 31 May: Australia - Flight to Amsterdam

Day 02 Sat 01 Jun: Arrive Amsterdam - Afternoon free

We land at 1pm and after Customs and passport control, your driver will take you to your hotel in Amsterdam. (D)

Day 03 Sun 02 Jun: Amsterdam - Morning visit to Volendam - Afternoon ½ day sightseeing with local guide

Our full day in Amsterdam starts with a visit to Volendam followed by a city tour with local guide that includes a visit to a diamond factory where you will have the opportunity to watch a diamond cutter at work. (B, D)

Day 04 Mon 03 Jun: Amsterdam - Albert Cuyp Market - Rhineland

Leaving Amsterdam soon after breakfast for a short drive to Cuyp Market. After we proceed by motorway to Germany and on to our hotel in the Rhineland area. (B, D)

Day 05 Tue 04 Jun: Rhineland - Rhine Cruise - Black Forest - Lake Lucerne

A memorable drive today takes us first to Assmanhausen where we board the ferry cruise to Oberwesel which will give you a perfect view of the Lorelei. Then we drive through the Black Forest stopping in one of the many delightful little towns. After entering Switzerland, we drive past Zurich to the shores of Lake Lucerne for our overnight stop. Day 06 Wed 05 Jun: Lucerne - Morning optional excursion to Mt. Rigi - Afternoon to Como area/Busto Arsizio.

Morning to stroll along the Lake Lucerne or take an optional trip to Mt. Rigi. Afternoon drive through the St. Gotthard pass and to Como area arriving in time for dinner. (B, D)

Day 07 Thu 06 Jun: Busto Arsizio (visit to Madonna dell’Aiuto) - Afternoon to Verona - Abano Terme

We visit the Sanctuary of Madonna dell’Aiuto) in the morning, In the afternoon we take the motorway to reach Abano Terme in the early evening after a brief stop in Verona to see the balcony of Romeo and Juliet and the Arena. (B, D)

Day 08 Fri 07 Jun: Abano Terme - excursion to Venice

After breakfast we go to Venice where we board our private boat that will take us to the islands of Murano, Burano end Torcello.
After our boat take us to San Mark’ Square for a stroll around the city and then back on the boat to take us to our coach back to Abano Terme. (B, D)

Day 09 Sat 08 Jun: Abano Terme - Florence - Afternoon City tour of Florence with local guide

Drive by motorway pass Bologna to Florence. Afternoon city tour with local guide. (B, D)

Day 10 Sun 09 Jun: Morning Florence to San Marino - Afternoon at leisure in San Marino

Depart Florence after breakfast and we cross the Apennines to the Adriatic coast. At Rimini we take the road climbing to the oldest Republic in World: San Marino. (B, D)

Day 11 Mon 10 Jun: San Marino - Rome

We drive across the Apennines to the eternal city. (B, D)

Day 12 Tue 11 Jun: Rome

Morning sightseeing with local guide. Afternoon free. (B, D)

Day 13 Wed 12 Jun: Rome - Pompeii - Sorrento

Early departure and by passing Monte Cassino we stop at Pompeii for a visit to the excavation with local guide (entrance fees included). The on to our Hotel in Sorrento. (B, D)

Day 14 Thu 13 Jun: Sorrento - excursion to Positano and Amalfi

Day 15 Fri 14 Jun: Sorrento - Naples/Rome flight to Athens - Kalambaka

Day 16 Sat 15 Jun: Kalambaka -Meteora -Delphi

A short drive to Meteora, which is a cluster monastic buildings perched on a set of rising rock formations. Later we drive south to Delphi. (B, D)

Day 17 Sun 16 Jun: Delphi -Olympia

In the morning, included sightseeing of Delphi, in ancient time known as the “Navel of The Earth”. Our local guide will also show you the Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo, some treasures and the theatre. In the afternoon follow the Gulf of Corinth through Nafpaktos to Antiron and into the Peloponnese then Patras to Olympia. (B, D)

Day 18 Mon 17 Jun: Olympia -Epidaurus -Nauplia

Olympia is the original home of the Olympic Games first held in 776 B.C., Olympia was a sacred site to the god Zeus, whose temple once housed one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Our included sightseeing will take you in the ancient stadium where the games were held and the temples of Zeus and his wife Hera. In the afternoon travel across the mountains of Arcadia, passing through
Tripolis before entering the Argolid, land of Greek myths and legends. Visit the Epidaurus theatre, which can still seat 14.000 spectators. We arrive on the Argolic Gulf at Nauplia in time for dinner. (B, D)

Days 19 Tue 18 Jun: Nauplia - Mycenae - Corinth Canal - Athens

After breakfast we visit the imposing ruins of Mycenae with a local guide (entrance fees included). Mycenae was called by Homer “City of rich in gold”. It was here that the Golden Mask of Agamemnon was unearthed along with many treasures that matched Homer’s description in the Iliad. We also enter the city through the Lion’s Gate and stroll up to Agamemnon’s Royal Palace. We continue to the Corinth Canal for a brief stop and then to Athens. (B, D)

Day 20 Wed 19 Jun: Athens

Morning city sightseeing with local guide. Afternoon free. (B,D)

Day 21 Thu 20 Jun: Athens → Flight to Palermo

We bid farewell to the capital of Greece and we fly to Palermo where our coach will be waiting to take us to visit Mount Pellegrino and the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia before reaching in the early evening our hotel. (B, D)

Day 22 Fri 21 Jun: Palermo

Morning city tour with local guide. Afternoon at leisure. (B, D)

Day 23 Sat 22 Jun: Palermo Trapani - Isle of Mozia - Agrigento

We drive to the West coast of Sicily passing Trapani and we board the boat to the island of Mozia. Later we proceed to Agrigento arriving in time for dinner. (B, D)

Day 24 Sun 23 Jun: Agrigento - Caltagirone - Palazzolo Acreide

A short drive will take us to Caltagirone famous for the production of pottery, particularly maiolica. We spend the morning in Caltagirone and later continue to Palazzolo Acreide. (B, D)

Day 25 Mon 24 Jun: Palazzolo Acreide - excursion to Syracuse

After breakfast, excursion to Syracuse returning to Palazzolo Acreide in the mid-afternoon. (B, D)

Day 26 Tue 25 Jun: Palazzolo Acreide - Catania - Afternoon end of tour

Our coach will take you for an orientation tour of Catania. The tour end at Catania train station or Catania Airport. (B)

 

 

Terms & Conditions

Viatour Travel Pty Ltd (hereinafter called “the Tour Operator”) is the organiser of this tour.
Not included in the Tour price: Passport and visa fees, airport taxes, laundry services, phone calls, beverages, meals not
indicated in the itinerary, all gratuities of any kind (which are at your discretion), items of personal nature, excess baggage and
baggage handling, anything not included in the itinerary.
Baggage: On all motorcoach tours, one normal sized suitcase is allowed. Health Requirements: Any physical or mental disability
requiring special attention or treatment must be noted at the time of the reservation. The Tour Operator and / or its representatives
reserve the right to exclude such passengers, unless prior approval for their participation has been obtained from local tour / cruise
/ land operators.
Travel Insurance: Protect your investment. Insurance to cover cancellation charges, trip interruption etc. is highly recommended
and is available through the Tour Operator or your professional travel agent.
Payments: A non-refundable deposit of $1500 per person is required at the time of booking. Full payment must be made 8 weeks
before departure. The price shown is based on the rate of exchange of the Euro on 6 July 2018. The Tour Operator reserves the
right to amend the price if a variation of the Euro by more than 2% occurs. Once full payment is received, this clause is not applied.
A discount of 5% is granted if full payment is received not later than 20 December 2018.
Cancellations / Refunds: All cancellation requests must be in writing and are in effect (24) hours after the date they reach our
office. In the event cancellation of a booking is requested less than (60) days prior to arrival, the cancellation fees will be charged
according to the following schedule: 56-45 days: $ 1500 deposit, 44-30 days: 30% of total price, 29-15 days: 50% of total price,
14-08 days: 70% of total price, 7 days or non-shows: 100% of the total price.
Tours and Sightseeing: By luxurious air-conditioned motorcoaches and guided by professional licensed English-speaking guides.
Tours not listed under “included” are optional.
Responsibility: The Tour Operator and / or their representatives act only as agents for the transportation companies and other
companies. The responsibility of the Tour Operator and / or their representatives is limited. The Tour Operator and / or their agents
will not accept any responsibility in the event of damage, loss, accident, illness, delay or other irregularity due to defects in any
vehicle used for transportation or the fault or default of any company or person employed in the organization of the transportation
company. The Tour Operator and / or their representatives will not accept any responsibility for extra cost due to delay, changes or
any other reason beyond our control.
The Tour Operator and / or their representatives are not responsible for any consular, political or military complications created
voluntarily or involuntarily by the passengers or any other person. The Tour Operator cannot be held responsible for any fault or
default or negligence by hotel owners or their employees. The Tour Operator reserves the right to decline, to accept or retain any
person and to change or cancel the tours if necessary for any reason.
The airline tickets shall, when issued constitute to the sole contract between the passenger and the airline. The airline is not to be
held responsible for any act, omission or event, when passengers are not on board its aircraft. Any deposit paid will represent
acceptance of the above-mentioned conditions.
